Hello GM,

Tantra, or better x-trap, dont work together with Windows 8.
Is there an chance 2 solve this little prob ?

Maybe because your OS is new.. I advice to use windows xp-windows 7 since there's no announcement for windows 8 yet.. and yet as far as i know windows 8 is not for gaming..  :)

Hello, not know again if Tantra work for windows 8 .... ....

For moment ...  Install windows 7 ... = Dual boot Windows 7 / Windows 8

Install VMWare on your windows 8 for dual booting.. all you need is Windows 7 OS CD and MONEY (im sure u have u bought windows 8  :lol: )

VMware is a virtual computer on your computer..  :lol: .. you can install windows 7 or windows xp on VMware.. how come I don't know? I used it when windows 7 is not supported on tantra.. LOL

Compatibility mode doesnt work GM Maku, xtrap complains "xtrap cannot run on compatibility mode"


and if I run just as it is, xtrap complains "Operating system is not supported"

im not an expert but try this

-You need to disable any AVC modules in an antivirus/firewall software.
AVC means Active virus control.
-You can mostly find it in the antivirus module, advanced settings. Tab- AVC, disable it.
please note for some antivirus software you need to open Expert mode, To open this mode most time in options top right in the software, you can select expert mode.

Will be waiting for xtrap to support Windows 8.

Most popular online games are already working properly even on Windows 8 release preview. So why not also Tantra 3000FR and other online games that uses xtrap?

It's like you're saying Windows 7 is not for gaming when it came out during launch.

Oh, and Windows XP when it came out during launch too! Y'know....with all the ridiculous compatibility issues and all that made both legacy and newer released games useless.

IMO, you  have to wait for xtrap to work or to be compatible with win 8. win 8 uses a new version of C++. i dont think our GM's can do something about this since xtrap is a 3rd party software.  :g201r:

the Windows 8 is not the PROBLEM.. Tantra is 101% Comptible on Win 8..
its The " Xcrap "is the one that is not compatible..
and their had been no such any updates on Xtrap..
